How do I enroll in Online Banking?
You can create an Online Banking account simply by opening an account online. You’ll be prompted for basic information, such as your name, address, and Social Security number.
Can I begin using Online Banking immediately?
Yes, once you have opened an account with us online, and set up a Login ID and password, you are automatically enrolled in Online Banking.
What types of things can I do with Online Banking?
With Online Banking you can:
- Check current balances on your GMAC Bank accounts.
- Transfer funds between your GMAC Bank Money Market Savings and Online Savings accounts and external accounts.
- View up to 18 months of account activity.
- Name your accounts for personalized, quick, and easy reference.
- Use our Message Center to securely communicate with the GMAC Bank Customer Care Department for any questions on accounts or account transactions.
- Change personal information such as your street address, email address, phone number, password, secret question and telephone Personal Identification Number (PIN).
- Review specific transactions.
- Use our Bill Pay Service to pay bills online (NOW accounts only).
- Place and/or remove stop payments.
- Open additional accounts.
- Download activity to Microsoft Money® or Quicken®.
- Request Checks, deposit slips and forms.
Is Online Banking free?
Yes.
What accounts can I view online?
With Online Banking, you can view:
- Certificate of Deposit (CD) accounts
- Money Market Savings accounts
- Online Savings accounts
How far back can I view account transactions in Online Banking?
By accessing Review Account History, you can review your account history extending back 18 months. You can also search for specific items by entering a description keyword, a check number, and/or a date range.
What customer service options are available through Online Banking?
Using our Message Center, you can complete a standard email form to communicate securely with our Customer Care Department.
Which accounts can I transfer funds to?
You can transfer money online from/to most of your accounts. Additionally, you can set up any external account to transfer to and from. You cannot transfer money to or from a Certificate of Deposit.
If I transfer funds between internal accounts, when will they be credited?
Online transfers between internal accounts are credited immediately.
Can I set up recurring or future dated transfers?
Yes. After your external account has been set up, you can conduct transfers as a one-time event or in scheduled frequencies such as monthly or every other week. Simply specify the date range and the frequency and we'll take care of the rest. You can review all transfer activity online.
What Internet browsers are supported by your Online Banking software?
We recommend that you use one of the following Internet browsers: Netscape Navigator versions 4.1, 4.7, 4.76 and 6.01 or Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4.01, 5.0 and 5.5.
What should I do if my browser is rejected?
If you are using an older browser version that is no longer supported for access to Online Banking, you will get a message saying that your browser does not meet our specific security protocols. If your browser is rejected, you can go to the Netscape or Microsoft home page and download the most recent non–beta browser versions.
